How often have you wished to explore the mesas, canyons and mountains in and around Camp Mitre Peak? Have you ever crawled up and through Chimney to the plateau? How about scrambling up Comanche Falls or Sky Trail? Together your unit will decide which trails to blaze! Explore as many trails as possible in one week!

Learn hiking safety tips, how the canyon was formed and survival skills. You’ve got to have snacks! Create simple energy-packed snacks/meals for hiking. Ever studied the topo map of the camp area? These are just a few things waiting for all you Trekkers.

You must be a registered Girl Scout to attend camp. Not a Girl Scout? Contact info@gsdsw.org to register today! Annual membership is $25.

If you will be using Desert Dollars, please pay the $75 deposit and take the Desert Dollars to your local Girl Scout shop or mail them to GSDSW - Summer Camp, 225 E Idaho, Ste 9, Las Cruces, NM 88005. Include your name, your Girl Scout's name, and contact telephone number in case we have any questions. We must have the Desert Dollars by June 3, 2022.
